My first ever lead climb! Don't recall what it was, but I think it was a grade 14.
Made it without a fall. Although an old-time philosopy, "the leader never falls" seemed like a good philosophy to me, so I adopted it whenever I lead.

How about that, John has a video of me in the early days attempting this climb. I never got more than 1m off the ground, but the timer on the video really shows
my "never give up approach". After half an hour or so, I eventually decided I better give up so someone else could have a go.
That video has been played and laughed at so many times I had forgotten that I had climbed it later.
